Comments: | Gary Bolles arranged "London By Night" for the Great Chord Conspiracy (1976 NED Champs) in 1976. The chart has been sung/recorded by several groups since then most notably The Alliance Chorus and The Great Western Timbre Company (1986 FWD Champs). When they put the tag in the Classic Tags collection, neither David Wright nor Kevin Keller knew Gary was the arranger! It was in 1977 at Harmony College when Gary was teaching it in the lobby when Jim Richards happened by and noted the great enharmonic change at the climax where the baritone goes from Db to C# and the pitch actually moves *up*! He asked if he could have it and used in his Acoustic of Barbershop class for over 25 years. |
