Lyrics: | I lost my way in bitter night, but I will not forget the light of day. (Of day). |
Comments: | Passed few weeks have been rather intense. Heavy bureaucratic nonsense to handle regarding the start of the semester a week or two ago (I already don't know haha), as well as the imperative of graduate school applications (complete, finally). I wrote this tag this afternoon to relieve some stress, and to ease into a few hour session of composing (many good things on the way, including "The Dream" and "Sleep My Love", as well as several larger works to be performed at my college this semester). As difficult as it has been to retain my wellbeing these passed few months, I am constantly reminded through the friendship and love of those who support me that there is always a light ready to pierce the gray overhead. A thought I had today, walking through heavy, snow hurling wind to the post office to send my portfolio: Sometimes, I feel like I'm walking against the wind in a blizzard. But I have this distinct feeling, a sense of a hearth in the distance. And so I keep walking. |
