Comments: I discovered this tag on the back page of a weekday edition of the Harmissourian at HU 2012. I don't remember seeing an arranger, quartet, date, or even title credited on the sheet music. (EDIT: It's Paul Olguin!)

The original version had the lead going down a half-step to C natural on the word "love," making it a barbershop seventh chord. However, I couldn't resist tweaking this tag a little. On the learning tracks, I've kept the lead note the same, and then dipped down a whole step instead, making it sound sorta jazzier. I've transcribed the sheet music to accommodate these optional notes. You can sing it either way and it's still a great tag.

Tips: Watch out for the first chord on the word "ever." It is NOT a typical barbershop chord, as one might expect. Basses, especially, often have a hard time finding their note on this chord, even though they're just going down a simple major scale. The reason why is that the bass note here is actually on the third of the chord, resulting in some harmonic tension that your average bass singer is probably not used to.

Enjoy this soft, pretty tag!
